. More academic  staff  joined  the  two  Departments  at   Awka,  namely  Dr. Precious Nwabuokei  (now late),  Mr P. Ezepue  (now Professor of Statistics inUK);   Dr.   Nikolov(a   Bulgarian)  Mr.  Albert   N.H   Ugwu,   and   Mr. Edebeatu.This arrangement lasted till 1990/91 when the old Anambra State was split into new Anambra State and new Enugu  State by the President,  Gen. Ibrahim  G. Babangida. At  the same time, ASUTECH Was split into Enugu  State  University   of   Science  and  Technology (ESUT)  and  Anambra  State  University  of  Science  and  Technology (now  Nnamdi  Azikiwe  University, Awka).  The Campus at Awka was also split into two: Abakiliki and Adada Campuses.

As ESUT,there were three Campuses located at Enugu (retaining old Faculties), Abkaliki (Faculties  of Agriculture, Medicine and pre_Science) and Adada in  Uzo Umani L.G.A. of Nsukka(Faculties of Applies Natural Science(FANS)and Social Sciences).At Adada,the former two Departments, Dept. of Ind. Mathematices and Dept. of Applied statistics were re_merged into one as the Department of Industrial Mathematics/Applies Statistics in the Unit as Prof.Dr.Ethel D.N.Umeh.Godwin Ikechukwu Ezugorie was the pioneer full time Academic Staff of the new Department at Adada (as another ONE MAN SHOW)while Mr.Joseph Ugwu and Mr.E.U. Ukeje, both of  UNN, were the pioneer Adjunct Lecturers of the young Department with Virginia Nwamba as the first Non Academic staff.Later, other Lecturers from the former Akwa Campus  of  old ASUTECH join the Department.They include Dr. .I.Okole(now late),who became the pioneer HOD from 1991/92 to 1994/95 and Mr.A.N.H.Ugwu who later on took over as the 2nd HOD from 1995/96 to 199697 and again from 1998/99 to 2003/2004.Also, Mr.A.O.Okeke was move  from Akwa to the Faculty of Management Science by the then pioneer Vice Chancellor of ESUT, Prof.Juluis Onah to strengthen Mathematics and Statistics courses there,following the mass withdrawal of  Lecturers of Anambra State origin from ESUT t NAU,Awka. In 1996/97 the then military Governor of Enugu State Col Lucky Mike Torrey, close the Adada campus of ESUT and move the entire Faculty to  Enugu at City Girls Secondary School, Ogui New layout Enugu.Here,more Lecturers joined including Mr.M.C.Abugu,Chief C.Onuoha(now late),Dr.G.C.E Mba(now Prof.at UNN)and Mr.
